DIY Wedding Decor

It’s May, which means wedding season is finally upon us! We partnered with a few talented creators to show you how you can use Kassa to create awesome DIY creations that will make your wedding more magical and less expensive!

Cocktail Sign

What you’ll need:

@lovetistrue used her gorgeous lettering technique to create a playful cocktail sign perfect for a rustic spring wedding with the white Kassa Chalk Marker. She outlined the letters with our gold chalk marker to elevate the sign with a luxe touch. Our silver marker would work just as nicely.

Personalized Hangers & Dishes

What you’ll need:

@calligraphybylindsey used a gorgeous mahogany wood hanger and adorable heart dishes to create personalized wedding props that are perfect for the day of and the days after. The hangers are perfect for pics of your bridesmaids dresses. To customize the hanger, she used a white vinyl and Kassa Transfer Tape. For the dishes, she jazzed them up with a gold vinyl, really making the title of “Mrs” glisten. For a more classic look, you can always use the black vinyl that comes with our Transfer Tape.

Mirror Sign

What you’ll need:

@lovelettering_doriswai created a simple and elegant mirror sign with our white chalk marker. Our multi-surface chalk markers write beautifully on mirrors and make for a chic finish. You can also use our marker to create mirror Table number signs and seating charts. If you want a touch of glam on your sign, pair the white with a luxurious metallic color to make the sign sparkle and pop.

“Year of Firsts” Gift Basket

What you’ll need:

@Kristens_Kalligraphy created the perfect gift to give her bride and/or groom for a wedding, engagement party or bridal shower. Not only does it look elegant, but it’s incredibly thoughtful. To make it, she first cut the thicker paper into the shape she liked. She then cut Kassa’s chalkboard paper into the same shape, but measured it to fit inside the thicker paper, leaving about a half inch border around it.

“Honeymoon Fund” Rustic Box

What you’ll need:

  • Wooden box
  • Map
  • Kassa Chalk Marker in Black
  • String Lights
  • Double Sided Sticky Foam or Glue Gun (Any substance or tape that will attach paper to wood)

@teenyletters created the perfect gift box for your wedding guests to put their money gifts into. With her gorgeous lettering technique and a world map (something she uses often in her work), she created the cutest “Honeymoon Fund” ever! First she found a rustic wooden box. Hers has heart cutouts on the side, which is the perfect touch for a wedding. She then found a map she liked and wrote “Honeymoon Fund” over it with her whimsical lettering technique in the black chalk marker. She then stuck the map onto the front of the box. To add that fairytale rustic touch, she placed string lights around the box.
