The tools we recommend to create this will also not cost you much, so you can have your own personalized chalkboard wall calendar up for under $15 and it will last you a lifetime!
You’ll need the following:
Steps to create a chalkboard wall calendar:
1. Cut out a piece of the chalkboard decal. The Kassa Chalkboard Decal is a 6 foot roll, so you’ll have plenty to work with. It also has a grid on the back for precise cutting. For our example we will cut a piece that is 16×12 inches.
2. We Used Our white liquid chalk markers to draw on the chalkboard vinyl. Chalk markers are brighter than regular chalk, making the chalkboard wall calendar really stand out. All you have to do is activate your chalk markers by shaking them and pressing on the tips (detailed instructions are on the included color card). Use the white markers to create the outline for the chalkboard calendar. Use the ruler to make sure the lines are straight
Our strategy was to first draw a white rectangle a few inches from the borders of the decal to create the base of the calendar. Then create another rectangle on the left side for notes, and a rectangle on top to write in the month.
3. Time to get very creative! Fill out your calendar with all the important dates and reminders. Use as many colors as you want to make it look vibrant and colorful. When the month changes, keep the outline and erase everything else with a damp cloth. Then just fill out the dates again.
