Easy Mother's Day Card Idea
Hello friends, Carol from Carolicity here to share a fun tutorial with you on how to make a DIY floral wreath card for Mother's Day! This is a fun and simple project that you can follow along at home
Materials you'll need:
- Watercolor Paper
- Protractor or anything you can trace to make a perfect circle
- Kassa watercolor paint
- Kassa watercolor brushes
- Kassa metallic chalk markers
- Masking tape
Using a protractor or an perfectly round object and a pencil, draw a circle on your watercolor paper. This will be used a guide for us to paint the shape of the wreath.
Tear off a piece of the masking tape and lay it on top of your circle. Make sure you place it across the middle of the circle and it is long enough to cover the edges as well.
Now it's time to start painting. Pick a color and a simple leaf pattern you can follow. Then just start painting along the circle line we drew. I choose to use the light blue color and make some
Continue painting the leaves until you completely went around the circle.
Choose a second leaf pattern & a different color. Then paint it around the circle. I choose to use a darker blue color and make pine tree leaves to stand out.
Every wreath needs to have some kind of berries. I used a very dark purple to paint some stems and dots at the end of them for berries. This wreath is really starting to come together now
Add the final touches to your wreath by adding some grapes or pinecones. I used a lighter purple
Gently peel off the masking tape and erase the pencil marks in the area that was not painted
Write your message in the empty space inside the wreath. Fill it up as much as you can, making sure your words will stretch to the empty space on the sides of the wreath.
That’s it! Thanks for following along with my DIY Mother's Day card idea. If you use this tutorial to make make your own do it yourself card, be sure to tag @kassa and @carolicity so we can cheer you on!
