Posted On
Weddings can be expensive but not everything has to be! You can easily make cute wedding decor with just a few inexpensive items. Let's go through one fun wedding DIY today!
Supply List:
- - White Plate
- - Chalkboard Vinyl
- - Chalk Markers
- - Faux Flowers
(1) Draw circle
Do a rough trace of the plate on the backside of the chalkboard vinyl, just to get a good idea of what size circle you need.
(2) Cut out circle
Cut the circle out with scissors. Don't worry at this point about it being perfect. Go ahead and apply the chalkboard circle to the middle of the plate.
(3) Trim edges
Use a craft knife to carefully trim around the circle, following the natural lines of the plate. This will give you a nice smooth circle.
(4) Add flowers
Find some pretty silk flowers that match the wedding theme and hot glue them to the top of the plate. Play with the arrangement until it looks like a swag across the top.
(5) Add chalk detail
Now you just have to decorate the chalkboard using Kassa's chalk markers. It would be so cute to include the new couples last name and wedding date and it doubles as a pretty keepsake!
There are so many ways to incorporate chalkboard vinyl and chalk markers into a wedding, they make decorating inexpensive and fun! Happy crafting!
